![]() I can't believe how hard it is for me to stay focused now that school is out - I have so much loafing to catch up on! I have finally started getting ready for June class - it should be the evening Thursday June 21, but I can be more flexible now that summer is finally here... Let me know your availability! Here is our summer shadow box insert project - fun stuff! I can't wait to show you these techniques! Along with this and a flip card, we'll be doing one other card, using some more new stamps from the new catalog, which is now officially open for ordering! Woo hoo!

![]() Everyone with children in school know that it's that time of year again - Appreciation Week! I've been busy making Pillow Box Treats for my schools teachers, and tokens of my gratitude for all the people that serve on my various boards with me. Here is a set of a nifty little item I learned to make at Phoenix Regionals this year - the double pocket card! So simple, made from a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper, and when you use a double-sided DSP like I did here, you get twice the impact! These were fun to decorate - I included a grateful bookmark and a cup of coffee on me in my two "pockets." I always use appreciation times as chances to whittle away at my retired stash of papers and accessories, too - I love to use these up in a good cause! Flirtatious Specialty DSP (retiring VERY soon!), Elegant Soiree & Raspberry Tart DSP (retired); Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, Wisteria Wonder, Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight & Kiwi Kiss (retired) CS; various buttons and matching ribbons. ![]() Had some time to just play today - can't remember when the last time that was! I decided that I need to keep the trend going of filling in my shadow box inserts, so even though I love my Easter decorations already, what's a little bit more? I was so sad at the retirement of A Good Egg, had to trot it out for this project, along with the also retired Bunny Hugs. I have been SO stuck on this Cheerful Treat DSP, too, but the colors really do go with my other decorations... Plus, I want to use it while it's still current - can't believe the new catalog comes in June! Enjoy! Bonus class, anyone? Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Concord Crush, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue & Lucky Limeade CS; Cheerful Treat DSP; A Good Egg, Bunny Hugs, Crosses of Hope & Well Scripted stamp sets; Lucky Limeade Ruffled & Organdy ribbons; Lace Ribbon Border, Key Tag & Decorative Label punches ![]() Hi Everyone! Wanted to post a quick picture for next week's Easter class, which includes a quick bonus project for this cute "basket" made with the Perfect Settings die! Yes, you still get a treat from me, too! Let me know if you can make it - I need some time with my ladies after Spring Break last week! Ack! ![]() Whew, I needed a little break from planning my upcoming Easter class, and I realized we're a little light on the green around here! That's a problem! So I quick whipped up a March shadow box insert that's been on my mind to create for a while... Starting to fill in all the little holidays on my shadow boxes! Subtles DSP; Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz and Lucky Limeade CS; button from Springtime Vintage pack (Clearance Rack!), various embossing folders; Hearts Framelits; Afterthoughts stamp set. Stem from my string stash. ![]() And this finishes off the Apothecary Art class! Two more cards, and a wonderful lidded card holder adapted from the amazing Brenda Quintana of QBee's Quest! Together with our earlier class, this makes quite an amazing set, if I do say so myself! Let me know if you're coming: Friday, Feb 24, 6:30 pm. A few ladies are coming at 10 am, too, who can't make that evening, so if that works better for you, just let me know! ![]() When I saw this tutorial by Brenda Quintana of Qbee's Quest, I was absolutely smitten! What a perfect use for the Petal Card punch! And another chance to clear out some retired DSP - yay! Now that bug is "too big" for school Valentines, I know I really need to bring it at home, so I thought this Countdown Kisses Calendar would be perfect! I've gotten a real work-out this week on my new Framelits dies, thanks in part to this project! Whisper White, Bashful Blue and Riding Hood Red CS; Red Gliiter Specialty DSP; Washington Apple DSP (retired); Framelit Hearts; Small Heart punch; Take It To Heart, P.S. I Love You and Calendar Alphabet & Numbers stamp sets; basic silver brads; Riding Hood Red 3/8" taffetta and pleated satin ribbons. ![]() Oh my gosh, I can't believe how awesome these roses come out, that have petals made with the ornament punch! I wish, too, that I could take the credit for these brilliant beauties, but they are totally CASed from fellow demo Laura Haffke at La Dee Dah - she generously posts an awesome video at her blog, and uses them for the most faboo purses ever! My trio are Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White sponged with Regal Rose ink, and Barely Banana (retired) sponged with Calypso Coral ink. Yum, yum! ![]() Finally! I can share the "big picture" of next week's class with you all! As you can see, we will make a new insert for our shadow box, and two cards, both presented to you with a Valentine's flair! You'll be able to swap out the sentiments if there's something else that suits better, but it was hard to not get swept in the moment! Let me know if you plan on coming, so I can make sure to prep supplies for you! Wednesday, 1/18, 6:30 pm, $20 ![]() So excited for our December "class!" One of our ladies is hosting us all at her house, for a "shoebox swap," when you design a card or item, and bring all the supplies for everyone to make one! I decided this close to the holidays, we prolly didn't need any new card singles from me - my item is a set of two handmade bows in a sweet carry-out container! So fun! AND, here's the tutorial! Merry Christmas! Letters From Santa DSP |
